Welcome. Stone Community Hub (“the Hub”) is an independent registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of residents of Stone and its surrounding villages by providing support and advice in times of need.

We provide a place to meet and discuss opportunities and concerns in a warm, supportive environment.

Everything we do is in pursuit of our objective “Making Lives Better”

We run a Drop-In Centre and Food Bank.

We rely on local support, fundraising and small grants to continue our work in our local community and any money raised will help to continue this invaluable work in Stone.

Volunteering

Without the support of our volunteers, Stone Community Hub would not be
able to open or operate as we do. Our volunteers donate their time and
skills to:

• help run our sessions,
• fundraise, campaign and raise awareness in our community,
• support our events,
• and much more.

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding things you can do. It helps our community and the individuals in it, it’s a great way to share skills and learn new ones, it helps with meeting new people and it even improves your mental health. Hours are flexible – any time you can give, is much appreciated.

One of our volunteers: “Being a volunteer in the local community gives me a sense of belonging. I have learned many new skills, met lots of lovely people and made new friends. I have found volunteering to be an enriching and rewarding experience”

Volunteers bring experience, skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to the charity sector. We’ll make sure the volunteer role is right for you and provide ongoing training and support.
