The Stone Community Hub Privacy Statement is published on the website and displayed on a noticeboard at the Frank Jordan Centre.

Stone Community Hub (“SCH”) is committed to protecting your privacy. SCH complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and this Privacy Statement describes how SCH collects and uses information about visitors to our website, donors, volunteers, supporters or users of our services.

How do we collect information? You provide us with your details when you enquire about our activities, use our services, volunteer with us or make a donation.

 

What personal information do we collect? The types of personal information collected might include name, contact information (such as email address, postal address, telephone number) and direct debit details. We do not record or process any personal information about visitors to our website, except when you choose to send us information by e-mail, conventional mail, telephone, fax or other means. We do not collect information on your web browsing activity.

 

Sensitive data This is defined as information about an individual’s race, ethnic origin, politics, religion, trade union membership, genetics, biometrics (where used for ID purposes), health, sex life, or sexual orientation. We may collect sensitive data for safeguarding purposes, or upon application to become an SCH employee or volunteer, or where required by law.

 

Why do we collect this data? We use personal information to provide users with our services or information, to improve our services, for administration purposes (such as staff/volunteer management or to fulfil Health & Safety obligations) and to further our charitable aims, including for fundraising activities. We will not send email newsletters without your permission.

 

Although providing this data is voluntary, we may be unable to provide you with the service you require without this.

Who will we share your information with? We do not sell, trade, lease, loan or rent any personal information to outside organisations or individuals. We will only share your information when required to do so by law, or (with your explicit consent) in connection with a service you have requested from us or our email newsletter.

Information Automatically Logged The SCH website does not use cookies although your IP (Internet protocol) address is used to gather broad demographic information, and for other purposes such as monitoring visitor frequency to our website. This data is not shared with anyone else and is anonymous.

 

4.CCTV

 

The Frank Jordan Centre has 24-hour monitoring using Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), managed by Stone Town Council in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR.

 

5.Your Rights

 

Email communications You have the right to opt out of receiving communications at any time.

 

Right of access The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you and have any inaccuracies in your information corrected.

 

You have a right to object to this data about you being held and a right to complain if you believe that this data is not being held for the purposes stated.
