Our Values and Objectives
We have a vision of a society where Mums and their families are able to make informed decisions about breastfeeding, to access help when they need it and to become confident in their choices.
For a new Mum deciding how to feed her baby, talking to a Mum who knows about breastfeeding can make a crucial difference and we strive to be the best we can be at providing support.
Our mission is to offer independent, evidence-based information and support to help build awareness of breastfeeding and to support a Mum in her choice to breastfeed.
Our values are at the heart of how we work, we strive to always:
We will strive never to:
Who We Work With:
At the centre of our work are Mums and babies. We also work very closely with Dads and Partners, close relatives, health professionals and anyone else involved in a Mum’s care.
Experience tells us that this vital network of close and trusted people help a new Mum and family in the early days. We know that some Mums need more support.
This can be because of their age, social barriers, disability or where they are in their breastfeeding journey.
Any of these factors can make breastfeeding more challenging and support more difficult to access. We focus our work on these Mums and families.
We meet at the Stone Community Hub every Wednesday, 1300hrs to 14.30hrs.
No need to book and we look forward to meeting you.
